We’re looking for a Senior Tech Consultant with a passion for building great products, solving complex problems and helping clients make better technology decisions.

This is a hands-on technical role with consultancy at its heart. You’ll spend much of your time writing code, designing solutions and solving complex technical challenges, while also working directly with clients to understand their needs, shape ideas and turn ambiguous problems into practical solutions.

AI is an important part of what we do. We’re building AI-native products, exploring emerging models and tools, and helping clients understand where AI can create genuine value. You’ll play an active role in this work, combining strong engineering fundamentals with curiosity about what’s possible and the pragmatism to know what will work in practice.

Key Responsibilities

Work as part of a cross-functional squad to design, build and ship high-quality digital and AI-native products for our clients.
Work directly with clients to understand their objectives and challenges, building strong relationships and becoming a trusted technical adviser who can turn ambiguous problems into pragmatic solutions.
Help clients make informed product and technology decisions by explaining options, trade-offs and recommendations, contributing to and facilitating workshops, discovery sessions and technical discussions.
Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code using technologies such as Node.js, TypeScript, Next.js and React, while contributing to technical architecture and design decisions.
Design and integrate AI capabilities using LLMs and emerging AI technologies, considering model choice, evaluation, reliability, security, latency, cost and user experience.
Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, delivery managers, QA and engineers to balance user needs, technical feasibility, business objectives and commercial considerations.
Contribute to estimates, technical planning and product direction, identifying opportunities to improve a client’s product or technology beyond the immediate brief.
Implement and improve CI/CD, cloud infrastructure and observability, primarily using GitHub Actions, AWS and Azure.
Promote strong engineering practices around code quality, automated testing, peer review and security, while mentoring and supporting other engineers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.

Key Skills

What you need to have:

A strong software engineering background, ideally with 3+ years of experience building and maintaining production-grade systems.
Strong hands-on experience with modern JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks such as Next.js and React.
A passion for Artificial Intelligence and continuous learning in the rapidly evolving landscape of Generative AI.
Experience building production-grade AI-native products, integrating frontier models and designing reliable agentic systems, with a strong understanding of evaluation, context engineering, tool use, observability, security, latency, cost and non-deterministic behaviour.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to take complex or ambiguous problems and turn them into well-structured, pragmatic technical solutions.
Experience working directly with clients or stakeholders to understand their needs, shape solutions and make clear recommendations.
Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence, including the ability to translate complex technical and AI concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
A collaborative mindset, with experience working closely with designers, product managers, delivery managers and other engineers, as well as supporting and mentoring others.
Strong engineering fundamentals, including technical design, automated testing, code quality, peer review and security best practices.
Experience with CI/CD and modern cloud environments, with the flexibility to adapt your technical approach to different client technology stacks.

Nice to haves (don't worry if you don't have any of the following experiences, we'd still like to hear from you):

Experience facilitating client workshops, discovery sessions or technical planning in a consultancy or other client-facing environment.
Experience helping organisations identify and validate opportunities for AI, including working with AI evaluation, vector databases, RAG or agentic systems.
Experience working with AWS and/or Azure, infrastructure as code such as Terraform or AWS CDK, and monitoring and observability tooling.
